Our digital education story
eBusiness Institute Review: Our Experience and a Balanced Guide
eBusiness Institute played a significant role in our introduction to websites and digital assets. This is the story of what Gary and I learned, what we valued and what prospective students should consider for themselves.

When Gary and I first began looking seriously at online business, we had plenty of business and life experience, but very little technical knowledge. We were not programmers, digital marketers or website developers. We were simply trying to understand whether websites could become genuine commercial assets and whether this was something we could realistically learn.
Meeting Matt and Liz Raad and training with eBusiness Institute became an important part of that journey.
Our experience was positive and foundational, but no course should be chosen on somebody else’s results alone.
Why we decided to enrol
What appealed to us was the practical nature of the education. We wanted more than broad motivation or another promise about making money online. We wanted to understand how websites worked, how digital assets were assessed and improved, and how commercial value could be created over time.
We first met Matt and Liz in 2012, when they spoke to us about the possibilities of earning an income through websites and digital assets. At that point we were complete beginners. We could see the opportunity, but we did not yet have the technical skills or a clear pathway into it.
We had to wait almost a year before we could begin the live training available at the time. We eventually completed every level of training eBusiness Institute offered, including the Champions program. That progression mattered because it allowed us to learn the foundations first, practise them on real projects and then develop our commercial judgement with more support around us.
Within 13 months of beginning to apply what we had learned, one of our online businesses reached six figures in monthly sales. We were also proud to win one of the very first Champions Cups. Those are important parts of our story, but they are our results, not a promise of what another student should expect. They required sustained work, an investment of time and dollars, and a willingness to keep learning well beyond the course material.
It gave us a foundation in WordPress, website investing, due diligence, digital income sources and the thinking behind online businesses. More importantly, it made an unfamiliar field feel learnable.
The training did not give us a ready-made business. It gave us the skills and confidence to begin making better digital decisions.
What made the experience valuable for us
We particularly valued the focus on practical application and evidence. The idea that mature beginners could build useful digital skills without becoming programmers was important to us, and it continues to influence the way we speak to people through Digital Education Experts today.
The community also mattered. Learning alongside other students and experienced operators showed us that the same foundational skills could support very different directions, from building a personal portfolio of websites to offering services to clients.
That does not mean every part will suit every person equally. Training is most useful when the business model, teaching style, level of support and required commitment match the person enrolling.
What the Institute teaches now
eBusiness Institute currently describes its education as helping beginners develop practical digital and AI skills through digital assets and digital advisory businesses. Its published pathways include the Digital Investors Program, WebDev training and the Champions Digital Entrepreneurs Program.
Programs evolve, so names, inclusions, delivery methods and prices may change. Our review reflects our own experience. Prospective students should compare it with the provider’s current official information and ask questions about the version of the program available now.
Ask what is included, which additional costs may arise, how much direct support you will receive, how much time you will realistically need and whether the underlying business model suits the way you want to work.
What no course can do for you
A good course can shorten the learning curve. It can provide structure, introduce useful frameworks and help you avoid some expensive mistakes.
It cannot guarantee income, remove business risk or do the work on your behalf. Results depend on what you build, the market you enter, the quality of execution and the time, judgement and money you can commit.
Success stories can be inspiring, but they should not replace your own assessment. Ask whether examples are typical, what happened between enrolling and achieving the result, and whether the person’s circumstances resemble yours.
Why Digital Education Experts has broadened
We remain genuinely grateful for what we learned from Matt and Liz. Their education helped shape our first steps and influenced the portfolio, agency and digital projects we went on to build.
Digital Education Experts is now deliberately broader than one provider or one pathway. The online landscape has changed, and there are more ways to build skills, income and useful digital assets than when we began.
Our role is to help readers explore AI skills, online business models, courses, tools, digital assets and reskilling options, then decide what fits their goals. eBusiness Institute remains part of that story, but it is no longer the whole story.
If you explore eBusiness Institute through our dedicated information page, Digital Education Experts may receive a commission if you later purchase. It does not change the price you pay or our responsibility to provide a balanced view.
Our conclusion
For Gary and me, eBusiness Institute was a valuable foundation. It helped us move from being curious outsiders to people capable of building and managing real digital projects.
Your decision should still be based on what you want to build, how you learn best and what the current program provides. A course is not the destination. It is one possible bridge between what you know now and what you want to be able to do next.
Choose for yourself
Compare education with your goals
Start with what you want to build, the skills you already have and the level of support you genuinely need.

We are creating a future for ourselves and our children with our digital skills.
Matt and Liz are two of the most genuine and inspiring people that we have met! Their guidance and coaching is second to none.
After working through the Digital Investors course, we have had the pleasure of being a part of their Champions program. Honestly, of all the different education programs that we have been through (including University and other tertiary education systems), what Matt and Liz do through the EBusiness Institute ACTUALLY enables you to create income generating skills for life!
We have had the pleasure of building websites for ourselves, local businesses and most fulfilling has been building a website with our little girl. Being able to demonstrate to her that we can create a website and within 12 months have that website starting to generate traffic and income.
Seriously creating an income stream from nothing but the internet and the skills we have learned has been seriously cool.
Matt and Liz thank you so much for everything!
I had no idea online when I found e-Business Institute. The training is detailed, logical and easy to follow. Support calls were a welcome bonus
